OUR PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION

We believe that all of life, including education, is to center around Christ and His Word. We recognize the presence of Scriptural absolutes in the search for truth, the establishment of principles, the government of human life, and the design of morality.

Children need consistent training in character development. Parents are responsible and accountable to supervise the educational process of their children. Tutorial instruction, which personalizes the teaching according to the child’s needs, is preferred. As parents become learners along with their children, there will be increased motivation and strengthening of the family unit through mutual commitment.

Home education is the best environment to:
1. Develop family relationships in order to learn how to be sensitive and helpful to those outside the family;
2. Emphasize socialization with adults and all age levels of society rather than exclusively with peers;
3. Integrate all age levels daily- older students gain experience through teaching the younger ones; younger students benefit from being exposed to the training which the older ones receive;
4. Achievement through establishing goals for application is more important than simply covering material;
5. Evaluate learning by recognition of achievement and productive capability, not only by the assignment of grades.
